church life
life groups
Christian community is about sharing life together;
it's more than merely gathering on a Sunday.
In our midweek lifegroups, we seek to: be connected in a supportive, accountable, loving community and encourage one another in our faith, gifts, and reaching out to others

You are very welcome to join us during the week at any of our groups.
alpha
Alpha is a great opportunity to ask those questions about life you've always wanted to ask.
It runs over a series of 10 weeks, and the next Alpha course date is to be confirmed.
kids
Kids are marvellous, and a blessing from God to their parents - yes, really! As a church, we're keen to serve and care for all ages - from the tiniest to the oldest.
On Sunday mornings, we have a creche, and a kidsclub for those at primary school.
switch youth
If you’re in years 7 to 13 (or are a parent/guardian of someone who is) then we want to say... hello!
We are a Stockport based Christian youth group, meeting on Sunday nights from 7-8:30pm at The Space (Stockport town centre, opposite the Wetherspoons). We play games, watch movies, eat free food, and chat about some of life's biggest questions. It's a great place to hang out with friends, make new ones, and understand a little bit more about the God that loves you.
To find out more, email us at youth@stockportfamilychurch.org.uk
See you soon.
students & 20's
We have a number of students who are studying at 6th form, college, or university - locally (Manchester, Salford) and in other cities.
We'd love to connect with you, and encourage you as you are studying.
Just contact us, or visit on a Sunday,
and we'll link you in!
serving
Good news is for sharing.
We believe that following Jesus is about serving other people, and this can be done in all sorts of ways.
As a church we are involved with many different activities.
parents
We have a great parenting course:
‘Are we nearly there yet?’
designed for those who care for 4-10 year olds. Whatever your background, and whether you’re a single parent, or a couple, we think you’ll find the sessions helpful, fun and practical.

The course has an informal, workshop style with lots of relevant content, and plenty of time for discussion and laughter about our role as parents. It’s designed to help you thrive – not just survive – as a mum / dad / carer.
international
We have links with the newfrontiers family of churches around the world, and with some people and projects in particular.
giving
We believe giving is an essential part of Christian living.
God calls those who trust in Him to give generously, deliberately, without compulsion, for God loves a
cheerful giver.
We encourage everyone in the church to contribute to the life and work of stockport family church in different ways - to give generously their time, energy, resources, as well as money.
about us
Stockport Family Church was planted in 1998 from South Manchester Family Church, a Newfrontiers congregation in Burnage, Manchester.
We are group of people of all ages, from different parts of our town. We gather on a Sunday morning at Disability Stockport, 23 High Street, Stockport SK1 1EG, near the town centre.
vision
Our vision is to establish a vibrant, town-wide church that celebrates and demonstrates the love of God. Find out more here.
Sunday mornings
We meet at 10:30am until 12:00pm, followed by refreshments. If you'd like to, there are plenty of people to pray with you.
Sunday mornings are an opportunity for us to share in varied worship together: spoken, silent, prayed, shouted, read, charismatic, sung and much more.

Our worship music style is contemporary, with openness to varied contributions.
We expect that praise will be Jesus-centred, heartfelt, dynamic and Spirit-filled: please, come and worship the Living God!
leadership & staff
Stockport Family Church is part of the ChristCentral Churches network, and is led by elders Gary Blackwell and Martin Elder, with a wider leadership team. They are responsible for leading, teaching, caring for and directing the mission of the church.
Many others exercise leadership across the church - in worship, prayer, teaching, co-ordination, outreach, trustees, youth work, children's work, crèche, midweek lifegroups, administration, and so on . . .
Our aim is that everyone who is part of the church community is cared for, helped to be a disciple of Jesus, and has opportunities to serve, to lead, and to reach out to others.
